Making a difference with...Hankook Tires
HQ Automotive offers several tire brand names. In the majority of cases we
recommend Hankook Tires due to their superior products combined with
prices difficult to beat. Purchasing Hankook Tires from HQ Automotive will
lower your overall cost per mile and they offer tires that will suit your needs in
traction, comfort, mileage, etc.
Why does HQ Automotive choose Hankook?
Although you may have never heard the name before they are one of the
largest in world and have an excellent reputation. They have been in the United
States for over 21 years however only recently have they spent any money on
marketing in the US. The Hankook tires HQ Automotive sell have performed
flawlessly with no manufacturer defects to date. They are without a doubt
among the best tires on the market today at any price but they come at a price
only the cheapest of tires can beat.
HANKOOK TIRES COST LESS PERIOD!!
Hankook tires purchased from HQ Automotive are very competitively priced.
Their pricing is ussually in the middle of the road and on the lower end of that.
This combined with their excellent quality make them the least expensive tire
you can purchase today.
Hankook makes Original Equipment tires.
That is to say, they are purchased from various automobile and truck
manufactures and put on at the factory. Ford, General Motors, Saturn, Suzuki,
International, and other auto manufacturers all buy tires from Hankook to put
on new vehicles. You can find Hankook tires on a new F-150, E-250 or
Focus to name a few vehicles with them factory installed.
Many tires simply aren't round or Balance poorly
That's right, you might think this is a given with a new set of tires however it's
a fairly common problem. It's not just their unloaded 'roundness' that can be
incorrect, they must also turn true with the weight of a vehicle on a road. This
condition is called radial runout and due to design changes in vehicles and tires
this condition has become more of a problem over the years. Several vehicle
manufacturers are now requiring their dealerships to purchase a special and
rather expensive tire balancer that also tests for radial runout. There is very
little if anything that can be done to correct for radial runout except replace the
tires. HQ Automotive has a simpler solution. Sell a set of tires that are round
to begin with, Hankook tires. Hankook tires are more consistently well
balanced then any other tire I've ever personally experienced. If the vehicle
has a good set of well balanced wheels it's not uncommon to use 3oz's or less
to balance a complete set of 4 Hankook 725 Mileage Plus tires. This may not
mean much to you but take it from someone that balances a lot of tires, this is
simply unheard of with any other brand tire I've tried. The record so far is
1.75oz total on a set of four tires. 1.75oz would be a reasonable amount of
weight to use on a single tire from other brand tires.
Hankook receives top ratings in consumer magazines.
You will find Hankook tires rated in the top ten in a leading consumer
magazine. The Hankook 725 Mileage Plus, for example was ranked #3 in it's
category. The tires with a higher ranking were priced significantly higher. As a
matter of fact all the tires ranked in the top ten were priced higher except for
one priced the same. Hankook has two tires in the top ten list in the Light
Truck/SUV category. These rankings judged tires on several factors including;
Ride comfort, Noise, Stopping distances, traction, tire wear, and more.
