Scheduled Maintenance Intervals
Every 3-6 months (spring and fall)
  • Change Engine Oil
  • Inspect and Rotate tires
  • Install BG Roadside kit (Fuel system cleaner & oil
    additive)
  • Test starting and charging systems
Perform visual inspection on:
  • fluid levels and condition
  • Inspect for corrosion at battery terminals
  • Steering and suspension components and lubricate
  • Exhaust system
  • Turn signals/headlamps/brake lights and tail lights
  • Belts
  • Hoses
  • Wiper blades and operation
  • AC and/or heater systems
Every 12 months
  • Everything on the 6 month interval Plus:
  • Replace engine air filter
  • Replace cabin air filter
  • Lubricate door latches and hinges
  • Inspect front and rear brakes
  • Test moisture content of brake fluid
  • Test PH level and freeze point of engine coolant
  • perform scan of computer system

  • on 4wd vehicles inspect differential and transfer case fluids
  • On Diesel engines install cooling system conditioner
    (beneficial on gas engines also)
Every 2-3 years
  • Flush Cooling system
  • Service transmission
  • Replace differential and transfer case fluids
  • Flush power steering system fluid (Especially important
    on many Ford and Chrysler vehicles)
  • Replace Fuel Filter
  • Replace wiper blades
Other Maintenance items to be done every
60,000 to 120,000 miles or as needed
  • Replace spark plugs
  • Replace timing belt
  • Replace brake pads/shoes.  Flush out brake fluid.  Clean and
    lubricate related brake components
  • Replace tires
  • Perform Fuel injection/Air intake system cleaning
  • Replace battery
